What counts as what? Every stat explained

The reference for recording: which actions exist, what each variant means, who it is recorded for, and how the app turns it into totals and rates.

The actions

ActionVariantsRecorded for
Goals–the scorer (field goals)
Assists–the player who gave the final pass
7 metresGoal · Saved · Missed · Drawn · Concededthe shooter; for “Drawn” the player who won it; for “Conceded” the defender
Saves–the goalkeeper
Goals conceded–the goalkeeper who was in goal
Steals–the player who wins the ball
BlocksBlock · Stopping foulyour own defender
Missed shotsSaved · Blocked · Missedyour own shooter
Penalties2 minutes · Yellow card · Red card · Blue cardthe penalised player
Turnovers–the player who loses the ball

On top of that there is the team time-out Premium. It belongs to no player, so it isn’t recorded in the grid but at the game clock, see Game clock, time-outs and match log.

Three places where it’s easy to get it wrong

“Blocks” is not “Blocked”

It’s the same scene seen from two sides. Blocks is recorded for your defender who blocks an opposing shot. Blocked is a variant of missed shots and counts for your shooter whose shot was blocked. The stopping foul is the foul that stops an opposing attack. It sits under Blocks but counts far less in the myPI than a real block.

“Drawn” and “Conceded” are not shots

Both sit under 7 metres because they belong to the penalty throw, but nobody took a shot. So they count neither as a goal nor in the 7m rate, only in their own column and in the myPI.

The “7 metres” total counts goals only

Wherever the app shows a single number for 7 metres, such as a home-screen tile or a totals row, it means converted penalties. Saved, missed, drawn and conceded ones have their own columns.

The rates

RateCalculation
Shot rateGoals ÷ (goals + missed shots). Field shots only; 7 metres have their own rate.
7m rate7m goals ÷ (goal + saved + missed). Penalties without a variant are not counted.
Save percentageSaves ÷ (saves + goals conceded) for each goalkeeper. Without any goal conceded assigned, it shows “–” instead of 100 %.

Extra details for a shot Premium

Goals, missed shots, saves and goals conceded can carry three extra details:

Fastest way: a long press on an action opens its variants and shot types directly, e.g. “7 metres · Drawn”. With a player pinned, a long press there subtracts 1 instead. Goal zone and court graphic are shown or hidden via View at the top.

How actions feed into the performance value is on myPI explained.
